Sex Ed In New York Schools

Turns out that the material presented in Sex Ed classes at some New York schools are about 20 yrs outdated. This is the finding of an ACLU investigation of the schools Sex Ed material. This review however excluded NYC’s school district sex ed curriculum. Some of the content is said to also be unscientific and also perpetrates gender stereotypes. With the advent of the internet, one wonders how many kids are really in the dark about sex? Not to minimize the fact the sex ed classes aren’t what they should be, but everything can be googled in the 21st century. At the very least one wonders what students think when they get online and realize the information they’re presented with at school does not measure up.
