Whoever coined this phrase should be given global recognition. One's actions truly is a more reliable indicator of how they feel. In psychology there is a saying that, "emotions that are not acknowledged are usually acted out".
When you find yourself questioning how someone feels about you; pay attention to how you are treated:
- Does he/she make time for you?
- Are you treated with respect?
- Is he or she supportive?
So the next time you realize that one's actions and words don't coincide, pay attention to what their actions are saying.
